Rifflandia 2025 is a few days away.

Headlined by hip-hop legends Public Enemy, one of Anderson .Paak’s many projects in hip-hop superduo NxWorries, Canadian pop sensation Alessia Cara and British electronic music duo Maribou State, the festival will bring four days of music exclusively at the Matullia Lands at Rock Bay for the second year.

Rifflandia has once again made some significant changes. Phillips Brewery is no longer involved meaning their won’t be a Phillips stage, Pembroke Street will not be part of the festival grounds and beers will be provided by Driftwood Brewery for the first time.

The entrance to the festival grounds will now be located along Government Street. That’s a welcome change for those who hated having to walk all the way around to Store Street in previous years.

The Lafflandia stage will now be close to the main stage and there will be much more turf covering the asphalt on the grounds.

One other big change is the introduction to RFID wristbands. The change will allow festival attendees to enter and leave the festival grounds by simply scanning in and out and scanning your wristband will be how everyone will pay for food and merch by either registering a credit card through an app or loading money on to a wristband through kiosks inside the venue.

Kidlandia is back with activities programmed by Old Farm Market, The Royal BC Museum and St. Margaret’s. The Supper Club is back for those who want to experience a catered meal where you could potentially run into artists in the lineup. Pods are are back for groups that want private seating near the main stage with shade, power and access to Supper Club menus. If you want to get married, Lovelandia returns on the Sunday with weddings taking place on the festival grounds.

But what can you expect to hear this year at Rifflandia? Along with the top billed headliners, there are headliner worthy undercard names in Charlotte Cardin, Macy Gray, The Dead South and more.

Victoria and Vancouver Island-based artists that we like to focus on are not as abundant as previous years. So this year we’re previewing artists based from our province of BC.

Want to know what BC based artists in the Rifflandia lineup are like live? We searched long and hard for live performance video or recent DJ sets so you know what you can expect to see and hear this weekend.

Weekend and single day passes are available still at Rifflandia.com, but recent posts by the festival suggest that some passes are close to selling out.
