Victoria punk band NO LIARS is no more.

In an statement posted to social media, it was announced that that the band was stepping away from releasing music as NO LIARS.

“We have had ongoing disputes with a former member and have found ourselves unable to carry on under that name,” say the remaining band members in the statement. “We are incredibly grateful for all the opportunities and shows we were blessed to be a part of and for all the friendships we’ve made over the last 6 years.”

The remaining members Noah Edwards, Eric Paone, Jonathan Graves and Mike Battle will continue to make music under a new project name called poor sport.

In late September, new promotional photos appeared on the NO LIARS social media pages showing the band without singer Morley Graff. Some fans questioned why Graff was missing and the band responded saying they would be continuing as a four-piece.

NO LIARS final live show together in Victoria was as an opener for Spiritbox at Capital Ballroom on Saturday February 22, 2020.

The band formed in 2014 and quickly gained a following. They were named a Zone Band of The Month in March 2016 and released their self-titled EP that same month. Two years later, in 2018, they released their debut full-length album ‘The Cause & The Cure‘.

The last official content released by the band were two live music videos shot at Silverside Sound. The videos were released in January and February.

poor sport have been working on new music through the pandemic, but they have not said when to expect anything to be released yet.
