The Victoria Symphony has postponed their annual Symphony Splash to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The annual concert that attracts around 40,2000 music lovers from around the world every year to the inner harbour is the latest large-scale event in the region to cancel due to provincial bans of large gatherings.
“We’re very sorry to be disappointing our public and we have so appreciated the support,” Victoria Symphony CEO Kathryn Laurin told CTV News. “There will be a time again for Symphony Splash and we’ll come back bigger and better than ever.”
This would have been the 31st Symphony Splash.
Last month, the Victoria Symphony cancelled the remainder of their 2019/2020 season and launched an emergency fund to help keep the symphony afloat.
