The Peak Performance ProjectOne year after Victoria was completely shut out of the 2014 Peak Peak Performance Project, our city is well represented among the 2015 finalists. Current Victoria based artists Jesse Roper and Mike Edel as well as former Victoria based artists JP Maurice, Mindil Beach and Smash Boom Pow (Ulysses Coppard was the lead singer of Johnny Tango and Zane Coppard is a former drummer for Isobel Trigger) were named Top 12 finalists.

The Peak Performance Project is a contest put on by Vancouver radio station 102.7 The Peak designed to educate, promote, develop and hopefully launch the careers of some of British Columbia’s top emerging artists.

The Top 12 bands/artists will participate in a music “bootcamp” retreat with the top 12 from Alberta and will have to complete a series of challenges and be adjudicated by a panel of judges for a chance to win the top prize of $102,700.

The grand prize winner will be determined on November 19, 2015 at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver.
