In a shocking announcement made on Facebook today, the organizers of the Vancouver Island Cultural Festival stated that the 2015 festival will not be happening. V.I.C. Fest organizers have sited “personal reasons” for the festival cancellation.

The annual music festival held on the grounds of St. Ann’s Academy in downtown Victoria in mid-June celebrated local music, food, drinks and art with two music stages, beer and wine sampling and art displays. This year would have been the 5th installment of the festival.

It’s with a heavy heart that the VIC Fest family make this announcement:
Due to personal reasons, we have come to the difficult decision to not move forward with VIC Fest this year. We would like to thank all our sponsors, vendors and ALL festival attendees for the overwhelming support and commitment to us and to the festival over the past five years.

VIC Fest has truly been one of our proudest personal and professional accomplishments, none of which could have happened without your support over the years. Thank YOU.

Please continue to support the amazing musicians, artist, restaurants, breweries, wineries and all the amazing things that make our island the greatest place on earth.
