Chance The Rapper, Father John Misty and Modest Mouse top a massive bill for the 2026 Phillips Backyard Music Festival.
Top Shelf Productions, Phillips Brewing Co. and The Zone@913 will present the three day festival Friday July 10 to Sunday July 12, 2026.
The initial lineup also includes avant-garde math/psych rock group Angine De Poitrine, Los Angeles violinist/R&B singer-songwriter Sudan Archives, Victoria indie-rock icons Wolf Parade, local folk rock favourites Jon and Roy and Los Angeles rapper Duckwrth.
The festival will also feature a lot of up-and-coming Canadian and BC artists in Montreal’s Flower Face, Vancouver’s Fake Shark and Dacey, Duncan’s Darrian Gerard, and Victoria’s Sophia Stel, Nicky Mackenzie and Carmine. Even more BC artists are still to be announced for the returning Music BC stage.
On March 11th, organizers announced on social media that they would only hold one weekend of music this year. Previous years saw a festival series held 2 or three times over the summer months. Last year featured two festivals in Phillips Tilt and Phillips Reverb. Over the last four years the Phillips Backyard has hosted 140 acts.
This year the Phillips Backyard will have an expanded space. The raised stage that improved views last year will be back. Festival organizers Top Shelf productions say there will be gate opening contests, giveaways, sponsor activations, games, a cocktail hour and more across the expanded grounds.
Single day tickets are $125 and full weekend passes are $325. A special deal of six single day tickets for the price of five will be on until April 30th. All tickets go on sale Wednesday March 25 ad 10am.
