Performing in Canada for the first time, The Grogans received a warm welcome in Victoria at a sold out Lucky Bar Saturday March 22, 2025.

The Melbourne, Australia band played their second show in BC at Lucky after a show in Vancouver the previous night.

They’re only about halfway through their tour of the west coast of U.S. and Canada and they told the Victoria audience that we’re one of the best crowds they’ve played to so far.

The Grogans performed a set that was more than an hour and ended their show with a cover of The Kinks’ ‘You Really Got Me’ declaring that it was their very first encore in Canada.

Opening the night was Victoria’s own Trophy Dad. They were a last minute addition to open the show. Trophy Dad frontman Nevil Meyer told the crowd he was actually supposed to be at work at The Duke Saloon, but then the gig opportunity came up.

They quickly won over the sold out crowd of mostly younger people in their 20s with their fun rock songs.
