Applications for the 2014 Peak Performance Project are now open. This year there project will include artists from Alberta, but there will be separate winners in BC and Alberta. Another change in this year’s Peak Performance Project seems to be the reduction to 12 finalists from each province, down from 20 in years past.
This is the 6th year for the BC version of the Peak Performance Project
The 12 finalists will be announced by 102.7 The Peak on Wednesday June 11, 2014.
Things that must be included in your application:
1. Fully completed application form (includes all band member birthdates, and cities of residence)
2. Biography of artist (max 300 words)
3. Photo of artist (Hi-Res JPEG)
4. Two original master sound recordings (MP3)
5. One live performance video direct url link (YouTube, Vimeo etc). The video must be a live performance, with no audio edits or lip syncing, but does not necessarily have to be in front of an audience, and may contain multiple angles. Please do not submit a link to a youtube channel, but rather one specific video.
6. Short essay from artist as to why the program will benefit the artist’s career (max 300 words)
7. Review and agree to sign PEAK Performance Project contracts

The Peak Performance Project is a contest presented by MusicBC and 102.7 The Peak in Vancouver and is designed to educate, promote, develop and hopefully launch the careers of some of BC’s and Alberta’s up and coming artists.
