Former Victoria artist JP Maurice has released his new 10-song album ‘Pressure Makes Diamonds’ available for digital download and streaming.
It’s Maurice’s fifth studio album and was recorded over several years.
“The biggest reward in this project was the time spent working on my own, learning about my limitations, getting out of my own head and to stop being so precious about the process,” said JP Maurice.
The framework of some of the album’s songs were built during a writing trip to the Los Angeles home of Ted Gowans. Much of the recording of the album happened at Blue Light Studios in Vancouver in 2019.
