Providencia, a ska/reggae band from Medellin Columbia, have release a music video for their song ‘Beligerante’ that was shot in Victoria, Chemainus, Cumberland, Vancouver, Quadra Island and Cortes Island.
The music video was inspired by their Canadian debut tour this year that was made possible in part by the Victoria BC Ska Society‘s Columbia to Canada project. For the past ten years the ska society has been committed to cultural exchange as a significant component of its festival and year-round programming.
Providencia’s manager says “This video is testimony to the cultural exchange and expansion of the Colombian independent music to new heights (and) it was recorded in Canada in the province of British Columbia.”
