The event space formerly home to the Victoria Event Centre will become Encore By Paparazzi in 2025.
The operators of Paparazzi nightclub that is a couple doors down on Broad Street made the announcement on Instagram Wednesday
“Victoria, we are thrilled to announce we are opening a second location,” said Paparazzi’s operators in the announcement. “We heard you want MORE! and we are excited to introduce another dynamic space in Victoria that will amplify the city’s entertainment and nightlife landscape.”
The new venue will primarily be used as a nightclub on weekends with live DJs. The statement says that the new venue will be committed to supporting the local arts scene by hosting live shows during the week.
The Victoria Event Centre closed on October 27, 2024 after more than two decades in operation. A the time, The Victoria Multicultural Society said that their lease had been terminated and that the non-profit “could not weather a substantial rent increase.”
An exact opening date in 2025 for Encore by Paparazzi is not yet known.
