Victoria’s newest nightclub and music venue The Downbeat Event Centre will open on Friday November 22, 2024.
The opening comes four months after Daniel James of ‘Just Beats Inc.’ and business partners Mark Williams and Karim Saryani announced in July that they were taking over the former Hush Nightclub space on Government Street.
The venue sat vacant for a decade.
Two events are scheduled for opening weekend. The debut show called ‘New Beginnings‘ will begin at 7pm on Friday November 22 featuring DJs Daniel James, Natty, J-Feud, Ob1-Keoni, Villain Dafoe, Mark Williams, My Love and Billium.
Change The Beat, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to empowering electronic music artists will present an all woman lineup of Sydney Blu, Marlee, Tigress and Kookoomama Saturday November 23.
