Victoria metal band Spiritbox have earned a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance for their single ‘Cellar Door’.

It is the second year in a row the band has been nominated in the category.

Spiritbox was nominated for their single ‘Jaded’ for the 2024 Grammys. Both songs are off their 2023 EP ‘The Fear of Fear’.

The competition for Best Metal Performance include Metallica, Judas Priest, Gojira and Knocked Loose featuring Poppy.

‘Cellar Door’ has been described as one of Spiritbox’s heaviest tracks since 2020’s ‘Holy Roller’. The single was originally released in October 2023

The band has been performing all over the world from festivals to touring with Korn. A year ago they released a collaboration with rapper Megan Thee Stallion.

Spiritbox last performed a hometown show in February 2020.

The televised ceremony of the 67th annual Grammy Awardswill take place Sunday February 2, 2025 on CBS and Paramount+.
