The Function Festival has released their lineup for the 2nd annual edition of Victoria’s first BIPOC music and art festival.

The festival features emerging Canadian and international BIPOC musicians headlined this year by California based rapper KYLE. His breakout single ‘iSpy’ (that featured Lil Yachty) reached number 4 on Billboard’s Hot 100 in 2016. His most recent ablum ‘It’s Not So Bad’ was released in 2022. On March 17 KYLE released his new single ‘Movin’

Joining KYLE on the bill are Montreal rapper Zach Zoya, Surrey DJ Khanvict, Vancouver singer-songwriter an 2016 CBC Searchlight winner Desiree Dawon, Vancouver alt-pop band DACEY and Victoria’s Dilly Cooner.

The Function Festival takes place at Victoria’s Ship Point Saturday August 19, 2023. The festival is open to all-ages and will feature a barbershop, kid zone, 19+ VIP section, food trucks, live art installations and BIPOC vendor village.
