Nanaimo/Victoria’s hard.times’ have released their new single ‘High With Me’ available for digital download and streaming.
The instrumental quartet teamed up with Victoria vocalist Lady Phyl on the single. ‘High With Me’ has already garnered 30,000 streams since April 20.
The band includes members of other bands such as Lovecoast.
‘High With Me’ is the latest collaboration for Lady Phyl with an instrumental group. She previously worked with Juno nominated band The Fretless on a cover of Bruce Cockburn’s ‘Wondering Where The Lions Are’. She was also a vocalist for former Victoria band Electric Sex Panther and is the daughter of record producer Joby Baker. Baker produced ‘High With Me’ at his Victoria studio.
hard.times and Lady Phyl will perform live at the TD Victoria International JazzFest Friday July 1 and at Laketown Shakedown Saturday July 2, 2022.
