The Cowichan Valley Bluegrass Festival has been postponed until next year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Organizers posted the announcement on the festival’s website and social media Thursday evening.

The new dates are June 18 to 20, 2021.

Formerly called the Sooke Bluegrass Festival, the annual Father’s Day weekend event moved to Laketown Ranch in Lake Cowichan last year after 16 years in the capital region. The Sooke River Bluegrass Festival Society said at the time that the festival had outgrown the former site in Sooke.

Refunds for already purchased passes will automatically be issued by Brown Paper Tickets.
