The City of Victoria is now accepting applications for their 2020 roster of pre-qualified, local musicians to perform at events such as the annual concerts in Centennial Square and Beacon Hill Park that take place between the months of June and September. Applicants may also be chosen for events like Canada Day or have their names passed on to other organizations hiring local musicians.
Musicians are invited to email an application and provide links to samples of their music by 11:59pm Wednesday January 15, 2020. Preference will be given to artists based in the Capital region and will be assessed on their diversity and broad appeal and talent and will be reviewed by a team of City of Victoria staff.
They also ask that you indicate your performance fee range, but be aware that the concerts are free community events.
Successful applicants will be contacted in March 2020. Late applications will be considered for 2021.
