Former live music venue The Cambie Esquimalt officially closes for good today (Sunday October 22, 2017).
Their Facebook page last had a post in August and is now shut down. The last evidence of a concert being held at the venue we could find was from April 2016.
Citified reports that the owners plan to expand the adjoined liquor store and possibly open a sit-down restaurant.
The property The Cambie Esquimalt is housed on has a long history dating back to 1860. The Halfway House was a public house and Esquimalt’s first brewery. More on the the property’s history can be found at the raincoasthistory blog.
