Gord Downie, lead singer of The Tragically Hip, has died. He was 53.
On May 24, 2016 it was announced Downie had been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. Soon after that, The Hip would embark on one final cross-Canada ‘Man Machine Poem’ tour which was rehearsed and launched right here in Victoria on Friday July 22, 2016.
