In a statement made on their Facebook page Tuesday August 4, 2015, Victoria pop punk band On Call Heroes have announced they are calling it quits after 8 years together. On Call Heroes were a The [email protected] Band of The Month in January of 2011 and this passed April released a five-song album called ‘HOME’. That album and all their previous work are now available for ‘name your own price’ on Bandcamp.

A farewell show is being planned but has not been officially announced.

“So we have some pretty sad news. I never wanted to make a big deal out of this when it inevitably happened but here we go. The boys and I have talked it through and we have all decided that it’s time to hang up our capes (Cheesy, I know but I had to) after a beautiful 8 years. We haven’t had the same drive that we used to over the last few years and it has just become something that we keep around because we’re too stubborn and attached to let it go. On Call Heroes has been such a huge part of all of our lives for so long so we feel it’s best if we cap it off in an exciting way rather than just having it fizzle out and disappear, which is the path we are on at this time. We have met a lot of wonderful people and have made a lot of fantastic memories and it has helped us make the story of our lives worth telling when We are older and that’s all We can ask from this experience. Now we will be setting up and playing one last show before our final goodbye so keep an eye out for that and help us bow out with a bang.

Love you all!

Your boys boys boys”
