The Vancouver Canucks launched a national anthem contest called ‘Rock The Rog’ asking singers to submit audition videos of themselves singing the Canadian National Anthem for a chance to perform the anthem at a Canucks home game. Out of entries 10 finalists were selected to attend live auditions at Rogers Arena.
The finalists were judged by Mark Donnelly, Victoria native and The Beat 94.5 mid-day host Chris Palliser and representatives from the Canucks Game Entertainment department.
C-FAX 1070 morning show host Al Ferraby placed second in the contest and Victoria native Amanda Wood won.
